January 18, 2009 – Microsoft Songsmith allows users to create music in a new way by plugging in a microphone. Simply press the record button and repeat your song. This program allows you to create music for the iPhone , iPod, iPad, Windows and Android.
Not so long ago, according to the company’s product manager, the iOS version of iTunes had the ability to take notes and play music in real time, but this feature has been removed.
But if you ever want to create the song you’re listening to, Songsmith is exactly where you need to be.
As Microsoft notes, the song you create will sound about the same as what you listen to.
